I am new to Hibernate and using 3.2 version
My scenario
I have a GenUser interface and have 2 implementation classes Employee and OfficeBearer.There are tables corresponding to these 2 implementation classes.

I have a Another class called Department where it refers dynamically to Employee or OfficeBearer. There is an externalId attribute here which may contain employeeid or officeBearerId.
So I decided to go with Implicit Polimorphism and map using <any> </any> tag.Buy I have no idera how to use this.Does anybody have a sample code for teh same?

Basically what I would like to know id how to use <any> tag, what are the attrinutes mentioned under these tag .

Also please let me know if anybody have a better aproch.
