For a long time we've had an intermittent problem where our application, which works great for months at a time, suddenly return "no session" for any request at all. It will do this until the server is bounced. When it happens, it will usually happen a few more times in the same day and then go away again for days, weeks or months.

Has anyone else ever had a problem like this before? The only information I can find by searching is the standard "no session" problem of lazy loading something after the session is closed which is something that would happen every time, not in streaks with months of normal operation between them.

We are running the latest hibernate 3, over MySQL. I can gladly give more details, but for now I'm mainly interested to find out if anyone has ever had a similar symptom.
