Hi,

I have Employee table which has 5 columns. I have created the corresponding employee.hbm.xml file also. I have deployed my application in Tomcat 6.0 web server with Hibernate. I have employee list jsp page which will show all employees in the employee table. It is working correctly.

My requirement is, i have one admin jsp page in which user can insert a new column in employee table. For inserting a new column, we are using
"ALTER TABLE" command. We are using Oracle 10g.

After inserting a new column in employee table, i have to restart my tomcat web application to reflect the new column in employee list jsp page.

Is there any way to load the new column without restarting the tomcat webserver?

Thanks in advance.
