 Post subject: Can Filters be OR-ed together?

I'm exploring using Filters, and as far as I can tell multiple filters always translate to a number of WHERE clauses AND-ed together. I've Googled as well as I know how but I can't find any reference to OR-ing them, not even someone asking the same question! Is this possible?
