 Post subject: not-found="ignore" doesnt not use lazy

I have the same problem as posted with Jira HHH-2753. (http://opensource.atlassian.com/project ... e/HHH-2753)
this was rejected, but I dont understand why.
With the not-found="ignore" it will always issue single select statements for my many-to-one mappings. When I take this out, it works just fine.
I am using Hibernate 3.2.5.ga with Oracle 10g.
