						 Hello,

I have a question I'm sure someone here can help me with; it has to do with deadlocks (I think) in SQL server. I have an application (EJB 3.0 MDB) running in OpenEJB. I'm using Hibernate as the JPA provider. When the MDB ebjCreate() method is called it does
does a query against a table and passes the data to another Stateless EJB as a HashMap. That second EJB inserts data into multiple database tables, including the database table that the MDB pulled information from. The info pulled and put into a hashmap may be used as reference data for other inserts that is why the MDB passes it to the stateless EJB. So I'm seeing a deadlocking issue between my select statement and my insert statement (that are both hitting the xreference table) and I'm not sure if or how I can avoid this (there must be).

 I'm using
 SQL Server 2005
 Hibernate: hibernate-3.2.5.ga
 Open EJB: 3.1 snapshot
I do have the openJPA jars in the classpath for generic JPA support if that matters

Thanks in advance for your help.
