For the following problem, I think I've searched the whole Internet, but I have not found any clue whatsoever.
An application uses Hibernate 2 to persist data on an Oracle9i and Oracle10g server. When this application is deployed on WinXP, everything works like a charm.
However, when this application is deployed on a Redhat linux machine, communication with Oracle 9 works, but it is impossible to get a connection to the Oracle 10g database.
I get the following error + stacktrace:
Code:

I've already tried to change some of the c3p0 configuration parameters, but it doesn't help.
Also, connecting to the Oracle10g database from Linux directly (with SqlPlus) is not a problem.
Can someone help me with this issue?[/code]
