Hello!!

I'm new in the Hibernate's world. I'm developing a small aplication in JBoss jbpm and when I'm trying to do persistence operations the following exception is thrown:

It would be easier if you could post the mapping files as well, but when I had a problem similar to this, I had not mapped an unsaved value in the id field and Hibernate considered an object with id 0 to be unsaved (whether this is default behaviour or it was set in another part of the application i do not know).

Try to see if you have an object with id=0 that is being saved. If you have, in the mapping, where you set the id, set an unsaved-value other than 0. -1 worked for me

Than you laura_a for your reply. I don't understand you very well. I dont' know where I can see or modify the id my objects :( . This is the hibernate.cfg.xml file

There are a few ways to see what is the id of the object being saved. One is to turn on (just for debugging!) the sql commands - and you will see in the console exactly what hibernate is doing and inserting into the database.

Another one is to simply printout the id of the object being saved.

You can read about the unsaved value here:
http://www.hibernate.org/hib_docs/refer ... pping.html

I also suggest checking out this blog post, it helped me solve my problem:

Hello again!!!

Than you for your reply. Yes, the object that I'm trying to save to DB have identifier 0. But ... I can't change this. Moreover, I don't know because the object have as iD 0, because in the archive is indicated with <native> that the ID is generated agree with the DB (where it's indicates that the ID>=1 ), but ... it doesn't work! Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Regrads
