I recently implemented a archiving job where I had to move data to a historical database.

When doing this I ran into problem with copying generated id's as the one shown below.

What have to be done (if even possible) to copy an autogenrated id from one db to another.

We are using the same annotaded classes against both db's in order to be DRY.
