I want to do some further initialization of transient properties on my object after hibernate has hydrated it. What is the best approach for doing this?

BTW, I know that doing the logic in a setter is a cleaner solution. Unfortunatley, I need properties to hold the data to appease xstream. Another approach would also be a custom xstream converter. ;^)

Thanks in advance.
