 Post subject: Merge fail with blob column

I'm having a lot of problems using the merge() method with entity that contains blob colums (with Oracle, but never tested on other DB).

The blob column is always set to null (even if it contains a blob value already).

I've found an open bug regarding this problem with detached instances

But it happens to me with attached object instances!

Someone else had the same problem?

Is there any fix or workaround?
