 Post subject: beginswith and endswith search in HQL

How can I do beginswith and endswith search using the where clause in HQL?

I tried to use
where property like '%abc'
to do endswith but that does not work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

If you have entity X and a string property, both

from X where [property] LIKE '%something' AND
from X where [property] LIKE 'something%'

Are valid. Could you post your queries and mappings?
