 Post subject: Multiple joins - many to one and one to one

I'm using the criteria api and i'm trying to get hibernate to load a single many to one mapping and a couple of one to one mapping in a single select but this is not working. Is there an easy way to do this?

It appears to do the many to one select first then does single selects for the one to one mappings.

Is this how it's meant to work or can i tune it?
