Aim:
To Resolve 'taskdef class org.hibernate.tool.ant.HibernateToolTask cannot be found'. in eclipse IDE while trying to build a file through ANT.
Root Cause: It is an Editor refresh issue only.
Assumptions:
- Using Eclipse IDE with all proper settings
- Hibernate jar files added in classpath of project
- Jar files present in Lib directory
To Resolve Manually:
- Just right click on Build.xml file in eclipse project -> select 'Run As' -> click 'Ant Build...'
- You will get a popup containing (main, refresh, target, classpath...) tabs.
- Click on Classpath tab -> keep the control on User Entries
- Try to add (hibernate3.jar & hibernate-tools.jar) explicity either by clicking on 'Add Jars' / 'Add External Jars'.
- Click apply & Run.
- It should work fine.(later if you remove this also it will work fine).
