Hibernate version: 3.0

Hi
I am new to Hibernate. Can anyone help me to write a HQL query for the Blob colum, It is storing a huge number as string.

In my hbm file the data type is mapped as byte[]

so how do I write a HQL query for this.

Please help me as early as possible, bcz it is an urgent issue to fix.
