 Post subject: Performance: Annotation based mapping VS XML based mapping

Hi,

Does anybody have any experience as to which type of mapping results in what kinds of performance issues..?
Which is better in terms of speed? Or they are the same?
I have 200+ tables to map...
I can see the xml mapping has an overhead at startup...

doesn't matter, all the mapping information must be read in by the Configuration class before SessionFactory instantiation anyways. It's more of a personal preference of where you want your mapping information to be.
