Hibernate version: 3.1


I want to use Hibernate for non RDBMS persistance like falt files and Spread sheet. Is it possible in Hibernate? If possible give me some example.

Hello,

as far as I know direct mapping from spread sheets or files is not possible.
But perhaps you can try to use https://xlsql.dev.java.net/ . It's a JDBC driver for MS Excel. Possibly you can integrate this driver into Hibernate, but I don't know if Hibernate understands this SQL dialect.
