I am develeoping a university guide where each university has a list of subjects. Should I create a many-to-many between university and subject or should I just create a one-to-many[ university - subjects] knowing that users need to list univerities by subject --> http://www.skillipedia.com/home/uniguide.hm

Thanks

Hi,

This decision depends upon the usability of this facility on ur site, if u are going to show subject along with univ. name then m2m is good, but if subject are listed on clicking univ. name(or vice versa) then one-to-many is ok, also lazy loading is to be taken care if using m2m.

i suggest to take some Statistical data(or technically MIS reporting) about how frequently these pages are visited.... and take decision

Hope this helps.... :)
