Hi All,

I would like to know if anyone has tried to use updatable resultset with Hibernate. I have a scenario where in we need to show a resultset (list) on the front end, make this modifiable & then save those changes & refresh the list.

If any one has worked on the same do share your thoughts.

I am using Hibernate 3.0

Regards,

Hi zulu,
I never used "updatable resultsets" per se, but you can simulate such behavior without much effort. In my desktop apps, I load a bunch of records from the database in a java.util.List and show them in a JTable. The user can edit any record individually. When the user commits a change, I update the database with Session.update(), the list itself with List.set() and the JTable with TableModel.fireTableRowsUpdated(). Hope that helps. Cheers,
Roger
