Hi There,
I want to apply the JBoss TreeCache in my web app which is runnig in a clustering environment.

May I know whether I could use TomCat instead of JBoss ?
Is it a must to use JBoss if i want to enable the cluster mode in TreeCache engine ?

The architecture is simple, a Apache is at the front as Load balancer and 2 Tomcats to form a cluster.

JBoss Treecache is not dependent on jboss. You can use that in tomcat. I did that before.

Don't forget to rate.

Thanks, rated.
Would you mind telling more details about the configuration ?

Is it a complex job to deal with the hibernate cache in a cluster enviornment ?

Any steps / tips to tell ?

There are lots of posts in the jboss treecache forum to help with the configuration settings.
But, here is the highlight summary of it.
Most of the configuration is easy, i got it to work in a clustered environment before. I finally gave up because there were lot of error in inter container communication when ran in clustered environment. I never tried to use it again, but its worth giving a shot as they have come long way since then.
