 Post subject: Oracle CHAR and heuristic autodiscovery

I have native sql query which returns CHAR(3) results.
current hibernate 3.2 uses java.lang.Character for this type.
So I lose most of the result.

For me it helped to extend Oracle9Dialect with two additional method calls in constructor:

Code:
        registerHibernateType( Types.CHAR, 1, Hibernate.CHARACTER.getName() );
        registerHibernateType( Types.CHAR, 255, Hibernate.STRING.getName() );


but I suppose this is problem for all dialects.
