 Post subject: broken foreign keys in legacy database

hi,

i have a hibernate mapping on a legacy database; every empty/not set relationship has a foreign key value of Integer 0 (not a NULL value)

is there a way of telling hibernate that foreign key values of 0 is a empty relationship ?
