is there any way to have an outer join in HQL between entities that are not related to each other within mappings?

I can do following for inner joins

Code:

select e1, e2
from Entity1 e1, Entity2 e2
where e1.prop1 = e2.prop2

I dont think so.
How can Hibernate be aware of the entities which you dont bind to it .
