Hibernate version: 3.2

Is it possible to encrypt the DB password in the hibernate.cfg.xml
file?

Background:
Since in our company DB admins and programmers have different security
rights, it causes me trouble if programmers can see DB passwords.

Regards,
Hari

I don't have a concrete answer for you, but it likely depend upon the connection pool implementation that you have selected. Also, is the application deployed in an application server?
