Hello,

i try to deploy hibernate on an existing application. I already have a database from which i generate the .hbm.xml and then my pojos. But I would like to know if there is an easy mean to generate the pojos from the .hbm.xml in order to enhance them with common functions, make them implement interfaces and so on...

Does such tool exist ?

Many thanks :)

You can get what you're looking for with the Hibernate Tools, which is available both as an eclipse plugin as well as being able to be called from ANT.
Here's some links: http://www.hibernate.org/hib_docs/tools/reference/en/html/
and in particular, to enhance the generated classes, look here:
http://www.hibernate.org/hib_docs/tools/reference/en/html/codegen.html

good luck!
Stephen

p.s. don't forget to rate!
