I'm having the same problem. In my case, I'm using <sql-insert> and <sql-update> to enable hibernate to read from a database view, but write to the underlying table of that view. This is a show stopper for us.

how this can be a showstopper when there is a patch available plus you could just use createSQLQuery to get data from the view instead is beyound me ;)

Now i have a similar Problem. I insert Values with ans sql-insert tag with a Stored Procedure. Now i want with Hibernate to Pickup the returned ID. How can i configure it within the stored Procedure and within the Mapping file?
