Hello,

we are currently working on a web application that is using hibernate annotations. Now we are in the need to implement some kind of protocol mechanism. That means we have to track every (or almost every) change of data in the database. So that we can generate some kind of monthy/weekly report that shows who changed what and when. Is there some tool or build in feature in hibernate that can do that?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
S.

Just some ideas:
a flag indicating the current version. And for each change you will write a new entry.

A trigger on the database writing the data to a history table.
