I'm having problems when commiting a transaction. I get the following exception: Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: No more data to read from socket. It seems that the transaction is closed, or don't exist anymore. I only get that when i try to insert, i can retrieve with no problems. I don't know why this happens, any ideas? Thanks.

Hibernate 3, Oracle 8, Struts application.

Post your java code around session.close and transaction.commit.
