 Post subject: priamry key value set by PRE_INSERT trigger in oracle DB

Hi,

What property of <ID> should I set when value is populated by a PRE_INSERT trigger in database. In normal entity when I dont give any value for ID ( because database is goingto populate the value ) I get following error :

org.hibernate.id.IdentifierGenerationException: ids for this class must be manually assigned before calling save():


Please suggest,

hi,
You should use the 'assigned' generator.
