Hi,

This is Jagadish. I have a composite key of 3 columns in mysql database table. I am connecting to the database through hibernate. I am trying to update a row in the table after modifying one of the column in the composite key.

But i am getting the following exception "Could not synchronize database state with session". Can anyone help me.

Regards,
Jagadish

A primary-key should never change. This problem has already been discussed here. Delete the line and create a new one with the right id.

Moreover, think about the risks of updating a key (composite or not) : every foreign keys pointing to it would be out of order. That's why it's very recommended to never modify a primary-key (I would say the problem is even more important with composite ones).
