I'm designing an application for an intranet but one requirement is that the database keep logging of every user action. So I need to work with my objects linked to a user/password and every connection should be stablished using this information. Is there a way to do this?

Thank you.

I don't know which type of database you are using. If it is SQL server, you can try windows authentication in the JDBC driver configuration.

It's for an intrante web application, JBoss, Struts, Hibernate with Oracle.

I need to track every action of the users logged in the database to audit which record the user changes.

Thank you.

Then probably you can do this: use servlet filter to catch the user and password and then persist the info to DB using Hibernate.
