I have a situation in which soemtimes when the objects are saved, I dont want the cascading to be done, and other times based on the flag value in business logic I want the cascading to be done to the object.

Is there any way in which I can programatically specify to hibernate when to cascade while saving an object.

This would be like overriding the cascade properties specified in hbm files at runtime.

any help.
