Hibernate version:
3.x

Can some one provide information available on Hibernate formal testing like what percentage of the framework code has been tested for functionality? What testing process is followed? Is it only user testing? One of the customers wanted to know -> if there may a bunch of untested code lurking in the framework, that might cause problems when it gets used.

Thank you,

The test code is distributed with the source package. Compile it with clover or some other code coverage utility to get your answers.

Here is an compiled coverage report that i found online

http://developer.spikesource.com/spikew ... -pkgs.html

but remember code coverage is just a pointer towards test effectiveness and by no means the only source on which you measure the stregth of a product . I would sugest you browse jira bug reports.
