I am developing a java web application and am using hibernate for the first time. In my application, in the registration page which is a jsp page, any user who visits the site for the first time will enter his details and those details need to be inserted into the mysql database. All these insertions have to to be done through hibernate. can anyone guide me how to configure the hibernate xml file and also how to do this data insertions into the databse through hibernate. I am using myeclipse ide.

your question is related to the very basics of Hibernate....go through the Hibernate reference doc and/or the book "Hibernate in Action"...if you have not already done so.
