hello,

I'm wondering what is the best solution to query and order objects in a db by the criteria of an ID located in an other db.

what's the best method to do that in term of performance ?
any pointer on the topic ?

thanks
jonas

dude ... you are drifting towards Federated Databases ;)

Anyways if you will write your HQL query, you can specify the ID (which you will have to retrieve before hand) just like any other Restriction on a query and retrieve the selected rows

I hope that helped.

I was speaking in term of transaction/cache configuration strategy.

Is there any practical solution to make a select across multiple db with a garantee of perf ?
