Hibernate version: 3.1rc3

Hi! I have a simple hierarchy. I'd like to define a "natural-id" in one "joined" subclass. This is not allowed in the DTD, I assume there's no support for this in Hibernate code either. Is there any workaround? Is this a planned feature? Is there a new DTD for 3.1?

I couldn't find anything in Jira and in the forum I could only find an unaswered query ( http://forums.hibernate.org/viewtopic.p ... 9e0e0984af ).

Thanks!

Should I create a new Jira issue for this? (If this turns out to be an issue)

You can always crack open the Hibernate 3.1 jar and find the DTD inside to see if it's been added in the latest version.

There has been no change in 3.1's DTD. It seems Hibernate does not support placing a natural key using the subclass fields. And there seems to be no way of putting arbitrary indexes either. It seems I'll need to manually add a unique index myself... =/
