 Post subject: JOIN FETCH and setMaxResult

Hibernate version: 3.1

I am using FETCH JOIN to populate all lazy-associations together with setFirstResult and setMaxResult. All works fine, but I am reading documentation and I see:

"Nor should fetch be used together with setMaxResults() or setFirstResult()"

How to consider it? Is there some changes are made after documentation written or I have a miracle?
