When the result set we get by the session (of hibernate for each query ) through database is very large then the java.lang.outofmemory exception is generated.

Is it necessary to close() all the sessions generated for each query? I use in my java code many queries to generate result set and then convert it to XML data. I do close the sessionFactory at the end of the program..

is this exception due to the session only or related to JVM?? Can any one pls. tell me wat to do when large data is retrieved from database to generate XMLs.
