Interceptor.instantiate(String entityName, EntityMode entityMode, Serializable id)

If I ignore the given Serializable object (key) the key is lost.
Is there any service method available to set the key?

From a post a few days after your original one, look at using ClassMetaData.setIdentifier(Object value, Serializable serializable, EntityMode entityMode)
