I'm starting to look at the source code, and was wondering if anyone would be able to recommend a good write-up of how Hibernate actually works. Upping the logging level and running through a debugger is not terribly satisfying.

Thanks,
Jack

I doubt there is much publically available documentation outside of the source code itself and the Javadoc... which is all you really need, especially considering how fast "how it works under the covers" documentation would get out of date.
