criteria query and named query

Can any one decribe how deletion is possible in hibernate using
criteria query and named query plz its should work with hibernate3.0

Hi,

I am new to hibernate and gone through all the documentation and help files but i can't find a how to delete using named query and criteria query so plz help its very urgent i also need Batch deletion also
