Hello,

The database I'm using (Teradata) only supports certain types of locking via SQL (does not support isolation level via jdbc driver). For example, to implement read lock, you must execute:

Code:
LOCKING MyTable FOR ACCESS  SELECT * FROM MYTABLE

So I need to modify the Hibernate source to support this (I'm guessing this is not possible at the Dialect level). Any pointers you could give me on what classes to look at?

Thanks,

Alex

Take a look at the patches in this JIRA entry: http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/secure/ViewIssue.jspa?key=HB-760

I hope a have the same problem.
I'm working with Hibernate with Teradata and I'm receiving a dead lock exception from this database. I hope changing the lock type to FOR ACCESS solve my problem. Did you discover how to do this? Could you give me some tip?

Thanks!
