Hi

I use hibernate and I would like to implemented of the business rules on the data server (SQLServer 2000) without used the stored procedure.

Q: how implemented these rules to remain independent of the data server ?

Use Java structured into the DAO model. There are a number of examples on this site or around the net you can look at.
