Hibernate version:3.0.2

In a different thread I've read that Hibernate is planning on adding functionality to export data (based on mapping file) from a database in XML and reimport it

Just wondering what the status is and when this will be made available.

Also when using sequences for ID generation, will the XML import feature set the database sequence position correctly. This is presently a big limitation with DBUnit.
