Is it possible to user hiber in a batch update ?

At the moment I try to do save a lot of object with hibernate bu I get OutOfMemory errors.

Can I control the use of the internal cache ?

is this only for hibernate 3 or also 2 ?

where do I set the hibernate.jdbc.batch_size ?

Both 2 and 3.
