Hibernate version:
3.0.1
Name and version of the database you are using:
SQL Server 2000 sp3
Caching Used:
EHCache

Simple question, but if I'm caching an object com.foo.Thing, is it imperative that a cache named com.foo.Thing be defined in ehcache.xml or is this done automatically?

Thanks

I believe the if it can't find the given class & package, it will use the default setting in ehcache-failsafe.xml which reside in ehcache.jar.
That's what I think :)
