hi guys,

I have a rather simple question i guess... but, is it ok to start many hibernate sessions using one session factory?? By many sessions, i mean smthin like 10 - 15 sessions...

Yah, that's the expected use model. SessionFactory is sort of heavyweight so you want to reduce the number of times you instantiate it to (best case) once.

The basic model is:

Instantiate a (usually static) SessionFactory

Spawn many sessions.
