 Post subject: different object with same ID was already in session

Within the same transaction, I'm trying to do a delete followed by an saveOrUpdate. When I do this, I get the following Hibernate exception:
"net.sf.hibernate.NonUniqueObjectException: a different object with the same identifier value was already associated with the session"

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
