I read in the best practices section of the documentation that you should roll back changes if you detect an exception, but I'm working with the weblogic transaction manager.

My question is, if an exception ocurrs while working on a hibernate session, will the changes roll back automatically?

Thanks in advance.

No. You'd need to roll it back or mark it for rollback yourself, using either the WL-provided UserTransaction or the Hibernate Transaction API.
