 Post subject: Hibernate setup

hello,

im having major problems setting up hibernate. ive followed a few tutorials and i cant get any of them to work and i cant see specificly where their going wrong. it could be any one or a mixture if the following:

log4j
jndi
sessions threading
connection settings to the database

can anybody give me simple code to set it up.

im using a my-sql database.

thanks in advance for any help ye can give me.

Nobody can help you with a problem description like this. Try getting some basic Hibernate Tutorials to work, like mine at http://www.gloegl.de/5.html

appologies about the description. i just cant seem to get anywhere with hibernate.

It addresses the log4j error message you run in, when it is not properly configured. It has mapping and database configurations with mySql and PostgreSQL.

cheers for the tutorial.

ive gotton hibernate working since the last post.
i was missing the log4j.properties file which i was totally unaware existed. that sorted out the error.
